Early Professional Awards
The 2019 nomination cycle for AOS Early Professional Awards will open Monday, October 14.
The American Ornithological Society offers two annual awards (one of which is awarded to two recipients) to outstanding early career professionals in ornithology. These awards are administered by the Early Professional Awards Committee, which strives to develop a balanced annual slate of nominees that represent the Society the diversity of its members. Candidates may apply for these awards themselves or may be nominated by another member(s) of AOS; the Early Professional Awards Committee may also make its own nominations to the slate of candidates.
Early-career ornithologists may also be interested in the Wesley Lanyon Award, which recognizes the best review paper in an AOS journal authored by an early-career researcher.
